Amanda Farris is the Program Manager for CISA. She is responsible for managing and overseeing program activities, including the coordination of CISA's research projects, collaborations with regional partners, and integration of decision-making needs and questions into CISA's research and engagement efforts. Amanda is the lead planner for the biennial Carolinas Climate Resilience Conference and serves on planning committees for the Southeast and Caribbean Disaster Resilience Partnership annual meeting and National Adaptation Forum. Through these and other stakeholder engagement activities, Amanda works to bridge the gap between climate science research and stakeholder communities. She also conducts research to improve the monitoring and reporting of drought impacts through citizen science as part of the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) Drought Early Warning System (DEWS) in the Carolinas. Amanda received her B.A. from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC and her Masters degree from the University of South Carolina.
